“For me there is only the traveling on the paths that have a heart, on any path that may have a heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile challenge for me is to traverse its full length. And there I travel—looking, looking, breathlessly.” - Carlos Castaneda

2011-2012 Animal Acupressure Training Academy Certification Programs

The Animal Acupressure Training Academy provides students with a foundation in animal acupressure through the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its origins in the ancient wisdom of Taoism. The Academy's multi-modality certification programs provide students with the knowledge and skills to work effectively with animals. The programs emphasizes listening and tracking skills that employ sensitive touch, presence and stillness.

Enrollment in individual classes and certification programs

  • Students may take individual classes as desired or work toward completion of certification programs.

  • The programs allow students the flexibility and freedom to construct individualized programs from a variety of foundation and multi-modality healing arts classes.

  • Individual classes or programs may be entered at any time during the year.

  • There is no required sequence in which classes must be taken.

  • The Academy strongly recommends that students pursuing the 100-Hour Animal Acupressure Certification Program include the two foundation classes of Animal Acupressure: The Five Elements and Animal Acupressure: Meridians & Powerful Points.

  • All classes are two-day, 14 credit hours, $240 tuition.

  • Payments for classes within a certification program are made incrementally, class by class, rather than paying the total cost of the program up front.

  • Total cost of the 100-Hour Animal Acupressure Certification Program is $1,680.

  • Total cost of the 50-Hour Advanced Animal Acupressure Certification Program is $720.

  • A $50 deposit is required to reserve a space in each class. Deposits are fully refundable if a class is cancelled, or if a student cancels his or her registration within three days of the class.

  • A certificate of completion is provided for each class, and a 100 hour and 50 hour certification is provided at the completion of each program.

  • Upon completion of a certification program, any class taken within that program may be repeated for $120 per class.

  • Students wishing to complete both the 100-hour and 50-hour advanced programs concurrently may do so. Completion of both programs simply requires taking a total of ten classes (which may include two Apprenticeship Training classes) and completing the respective 100 and 50 hour program requirements.
